18.05.2009

European Athletics Indoor Championships finalist Anna Giordano Bruno broke the Italian outdoor Pole Vault record Sunday with a 4.45m vault in her first attempt at the first stage of the Italian Club Championships in Vicenza.

Giordano Bruno, 28, who set the national indoor record at the European indoors in March in Torino, where she qualified for the final, eclipsed the previous Italian record set by the now-retired Arianna Farfaletti Casali, who vaulted 4.42m in September 2008.
