Ivan Ukhov can do no wrong this season. In what is turning out to be a fantastic season for the 22-year-old Russian, he added a centimeter to his world leading indoor mark at the 18th edition of the annual ‘Russian Winter' meeting in Moscow on Sunday.
An equally impressive performance came through in the men's Pole Vault when French prodigy Renaud Lavillenie equaled his PB of 5.81m to beat a star-studded field of major championship medallists.
Russian 2005 World Championship bronze medallist Pavel Gerasimov finished second with 5.76 and 2008 Olympic silver medallist Yevgeniy Lukyanenko third with a jump of 5.66, while compatriot and 2007 World Championships silver medallist Romain Mesnil finished fourth with 5.66.
