Friday at a meet, the school didnt have their mats set up right and there was a big gap in the mats and i rolled my ankle in it and i just taped it up and kept jumpin. Another Vaulter from another school did the same thing.
The pics are in that link...
My Question is, how long should i wait and when i come back, what drills shpuld i do?

Seeing there is bruises, go to a doctor right away. It def sprained, but u could also have chipped a bone (hence the contusion) which would be even worse. I would say...it all depends on what the xray says, if its a sprain, u'll be off it for prolly 4 weeks seeing it looks pretty bad. Again, im not a doctor, jsut pre-med, but get an xray. But...awsome battle scar

i just sprained my ankle last week...my coach told mne to do alternating 10 min ice bucket 5 min hot water 10 min ice 5 min hot and 10 min ice. the swelling went down like the next day....and when your ready to use it, wrap it with veterinary tape: its supportive but also flexible so the run wont be off (i know it sound weird but it works...you can get the stuff in the vet section of walmart...) feel better

I would advise really trying the ice bath/hot water deal that was explained in the earlier post. Just put a bunch of ice and water in one bucket and the hottest water that you can handle in another bucket. Proceed to place your injured foot in one and then the other for the amount of time indicated. It really helps with getting the blood flowing and the swelling down.
It stings like crazy going between the temp differences, but just keep on doing it.

DO NOT HEAT YOUR ANKLE. If there is any musculas damge u can cause further damage. Keep to icing 15 on, 15 off, for as much as possible and again DO NOT heat your ankel. If there is a tear, the heat will expand ur blood vessles and could make things worse (extra blood flow cause more cortosone and antihestames due to a negative feedback system which can cause MORE swelling). Ice is ALWAYS the best thing to do when u do not know what is exacltywrong with it. Your doctor may tell u to ice and heat afterwords, but its better to think of the worst, so just ice.

LOL....Kyle man...we've had new mats for 3 years now...and this happened at MWC...they seemed to stop caring after Adam left. The mats looks like they had a dried blood/mud mix on it....horrible
