I was at a meet at Jenks in Oklahoma a few years back and this kid goes up misses but makes the bar jump up really high and it goes on end ( straight up and down ) and comes down and knocks one of his teeth out. It was so funny because he was wearing a helmet. Sooo funny.

I've been attack by a cross bar twice. Once in HS, the meet was using an aluminum triangular cross bar. I ended up stratling it, left a nice abrasion scar on the inside of my thigh (thank god that was all). I'm not that freaking old either, I don't know why the meet officials were using an aluminum cross bar.

second time it fell right on my forhead or nose and cut me open.. Becca has pics of the carnage. It probably hit my nose as it is a much bigger target.

I have gone over the bar and come down, hitting the bar with my chin and busting open my lip. I have done this twice and both times i was within an inch of clearing the bar.
