PVEI POLE VAULT CAMP APPROACH
The PVEI Pole Vault Camp follows the teachings of the USA Track & Field National Pole Vault Development and High Performance Committee that was created in 1988 to re-establish pole vaulting in the United States and to be the leader in the world in the event. This camp is being conducted by the coaches/teachers who formerly coached at the Slippery Rock Pole Vault Camps under the tutelage and support of Mark Hannay (Northeast National Coordinator), and will present material that is sound, conservative, and recognized by the national pole vault committee in its library of articles.

TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE
Mornings: 3 hour vaulting session. Jumping and imitative drill techniques Afternoon: Classroom instruction on the technique and safety of the pole vault along with other vault and academic issues. Evening: 3 hour vaulting session. Jumping and imitative drill techniques followed by further classroom instruction. These sessions will be focused on individual attention and a variety of activities. Our GOAL as teachers is to educate YOU (no matter your level of expertise) all of the components of the pole vault so YOU will be able to LEARN the vault and apply the teachings when you LEAVE the PVEI Camp.
