Gill Athletics Hosts 5th Annual Factory Vault

Champaign, IL-USA The 5th Annual Gill Athletics Factory Vault is fast approaching! This unique sporting event is a day-long pole vault competition that attracts vaulters and spectators from across the country. Elite vaulters like Olympic Trials Champion Derek Miles, 2009 USA Indoor Champion Jeremy Scott and others will be competing for $5000 in prize money. A DJ, pole raffle, photo station and Team Pacer autograph sessions make this a truly unique event.
Returning by popular demand is the Pole Vault Symposium which gives athletes, coaches, and parents a chance to learn technical aspects of the sport. This year the Symposium is on Friday July 30 and will have beginner, intermediate and advanced tracks. Also included is a tour the Gill factory where Pacer poles are made, and a Q&A session with Team Pacer; an elite group of vaulters sponsored by Gill.
he Factory Vault takes place Saturday, July 31 at Gill Athletics’ headquarters located at 601 Mercury Drive, Champaign, IL. The open and masters competitions will start in the morning and continue throughout the day with the featured Elite Vault scheduled for 12:00pm.
