I got an email from Alan Launder's wife, Jenny, this morning saying that he was in the hospital with some heart issues and even if he got out and were OK he may not be able to come to the States because they could not get him travel insurance. We have a clinic with him this summer as I know several others do so you may want to follow up. I certainly hope this is more of a precaution and that he returns to great health soon, but in any case it seems he may not make it over. Jenny says they will make a final decision after his angiogram on Tuesday.
Of course our prayers are with him and his family. I met him at the 1996 Olympics and he had to return to Australia because of heart issues but he is in considerably better shape now than he was then. Bubba

Re: Altius
Wish him well and hope all the tests are for good results. Don't want to loose this man too early! We can make do without him June 5th and 6th but it just won't be the same here in Oregon City. Love that guy!

Re: Altius
He has told me at least four times over the years that was through traveling and then he emails me possible times to come visit. Of course I am most concerned for his health, but like you Rick, LOVE that guy! Bubba

Re: Altius
Just got word from Jenny that Alan's "angiogram" did not find any major problems. He has been released and is back at home. He has another test being scheduled for next week; some form of a stress test.

Re: Altius
He will miss the WSTC Summer Clinic June 5th and 6th. But if all is well he will make it the next week for our clinic in Juanita Hi in the Seattle area.
