Its thats time of year again where Olympic Bronze medalist Jan Johnson starts touring the country holding his Pole Vault camps. This year he will be holding camps in Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennslyvania, and California.
Skyjumpers Philosophy
We take great pride in offering a wide variety of challenging
vault related activities in a park-like setting. We stress
step-by-step skill development, with a safety first motto. Come
prepared to make huge gains in your vaulting, make new
friends, and try new stuff. Camaraderie, self respect and good
clean fun are all important aspects of our system. Drugs,
tobacco, and alcohol are not tolerated.
Costs and Options
Commuters- varies, according to the length of the camp; see
application portion for your specific camp. Cost includes
instruction, insurance, t-shirt, booklet, etc. Does not include
room, breakfast or evening supervision.
Residents– varies, according to the length of the camp. See
application portion for costs specific to each session. Includes
all of the above, plus room and meals, hotel to facilities
transportation, and evening supervision. Please note that
resident campers will be housed 4 to a room.
Refunds subject to $50 processing fee. No refunds if dismissed
for disciplinary or injury reasons.
Deadline- Deposit due two weeks prior to session. All camps,
first-come, first-served basis only. Register early: winter and
summer camps tend to fill up early. Do not send applications
late without checking for availability first.
Note, we do not accept faxed application or applications
without deposits.

What is the difference between the camp in Atascadero and the camp in Kutztown?

There is surfing in the middle of the day at the one in California. Both have a good staff but I believe the one in California is slightly more laid back.

I have never been to anyone but the California one, but that one is loads of fun for everyone that goes. I would believe that all the others are similar, maybe you dont have the opportunity for surfing or halfpipes like Jan has in his back yard in CA. But Jan himself will make it fun! Anyone who has spent time around Jan will agree with me, he is just a fun man in everything that he does. He has great stories. Plus his knowledge of the sport of vaulting is huge and he is good at transfering that knowledge into ways that every vaulter beginner to elite can understand...
