When to bend bottom arm

Unread postby depvaulter » Fri Apr 21, 2006 4:11 pm

Every time I go up I seem to have a habit of not bringing my bottom arm in, making it hard for me to get upside-down. How do you bring your elbow in, in relation to the swing of your trail leg?
Thanks

You do them at the same time. Personally, I've just started bending the pole, so I'm used to waiting for the pole to bend a bit and then I do it, although I'm often caught waiting too long until I'm sure that its bent (and at that point its already recoiling). The recoil actually helps bring my bottom arm in when its bent, but if its straight then all the recoil goes to the deltoid or tricep, and thats bad...

once your arm is in the way of your inversion it needs to bend!
straight out to bend, then suck in real quick as you go up.
