Sticking to it

Unread postby Tubaman » Wed Apr 12, 2006 11:37 pm

As soon as my coach helped me figure out how to get a faster recoil on the pole I have gotten a new problem. Out of about 7 vaults I got one where I cleared 12'6" by a foot, and the other times I have been hitting the practice bungee. It is because I'm turning a little too early. I was wondering if anyone knew anything I could practice so I don't do this? That fraction of a second difference can help me increase my height by about a foot. Thanks!

well i guess you gotta ask your self why your turning too early? is it cuz your rushing through the vault or is a different part of your vault messing up the timing or forcing you to turn early?

put the bungee 2' higher than that aim for that, it'll work on getting you inverted completely and heading up when you turn- and you wont turn early b/c you're trying to go for a higher target.
