if you came here 'coz of the catch title, ner ner! :P Well my problem now is rocking back, im neither the first to ask this and i doubt i'll be the last. I hear people say to help rocking back, use a shorter pole as its harder to do it on a longer pole. how short is short? i cant really grip off 8 strides anything less than 13ft really mayb 13ft6, because when i drive the pole forward and try to invert, im already on my a**(im a big lad).I also have a problem with conscienciously driving my top hand through, because as you well know, as soon as that happens the pole starts to recoil (with the help of the left hand). Can any give me any advice on kind of drill-vaults (i just made that up) to practice this rock back, and driving through with the top hand? thnx riz

Suggest you begin by unscrambling your thoughts. I really could not understand what you were trying to tell us - or ask us.

sorry this was a jumbled mess, less haste and more speed. I would like help in the art of rocking back; the swing of the take of leg, and pull over with the top hand on the pole. My problem is ill do one, or the other and never both. Ill either swing really hard, and just block my arm, or just rock back with my legs dangling. Another thing is that i end up being in the L position when the pole is straight, am i collapsing the arm to early? Can anyone help me solve any of the issues adressed in this, if it all makes sense, riz
