In this picture, it looks like Adam's torso and head are facing the right and he is not square with the pit. I was just wondering is that because of his super awesome powerful takeoff or is it bad?

is the photo taken from the side of the pit? Looks to me like it is if so he is square to the pit. The pole doesn't really bend straight towards the back of the pit.

the pole bends toward the back of the pit, but throughout the vault it clears out to the side so the vaulter can keep moving in line with the runway

Name those spectators.

Watching Adam was GREAT!!! There was a huge crowd watching him vault. He was on fire catching big air over bars and looking as if he was going to shoot straight through the roof. Excelent job coach Aaron James.
You can see me, Tim Werner, wearing the tan Advantage Athletics shirt with black long sleeve shirt under walking toward the camera on his first 17' vault.

Yeah, the pole wouldnt want to get in the way of our awesomeness. It cowers in fear. Those not so fortunate poles that have tried to resist, have suffered what I call shatterdness
