weird takeoff need help

Unread postby fong520 » Wed Jan 25, 2006 6:13 pm

ok so heres my stats. im 130 lbs bout 5'7 holding around the top of a 14' 150-160 from 7 lefts which is aorund 85'5 or so. and my pr is 13' and im hoping to get 13'3 on sat to make states.
so when i plant my arms are up real good and i always have a long trail leg. my lead knee kinda sucks but it could be becasue of something else. the thing is when i take off, my coach says it looks like im leaning kinda foward. my legs are like a figure 4 position adn i cant seem to get it anyhting else prob cuase of bad habits. my like chest is foward at the beginning and everything else seems way back and so thats y it looks like i dont have a drive knee at all sometimes. but its only for like a second. but than my hips come up right away and i cant seem to swing up all the way. the most i get when i finish is like a little past maybe parallel with the ground.
i think that my hips get away from me too quickly or maybe its something else?. anyone got ne tips or know wat i could do to fix my jump or to like keep my chest out longer?.
thanx any help would be greatly apprieciated especially cause now my last indoor season is coming to an end soon and i want to make states
i run, therefore im buff.
