can anybody help me with my push? I can jump 13' and when I try for 13'6" I land with my stomach on the cross bar. Any suggestions?

i sort of have the same problem. there are many things you can do, off the top of my head i know you can try doing Bubka's or rope drills, there are many pages on this site about that stuff.

Do you have a video of yourself that we can look at?

you can also work on the strength necessary to get a good push off of the top by doing handstand push-ups

Run better, take off better, swing better.

If you're coming down on top of the bar with you're stomach, then you're likely flagging out over the bar. What size pole are you on? How high are you holding? Without actually seeing the jump, that would be my guess. Follow achtungpv's advice....

i agree wit ashcraft on this one, certainly sounds like you're flagging out. i had problem last year and hopefully fixed it.

idk because i cant see a video but the only way i can imagine hitting the bar with your stomach is if u are flagging out like others have said and i had the same problem i fixed it by doing what earl bell told me: work on it till you get it from 6 steps then go to 8 then 10 and so on....it really worked for me so that what i would recremend that but the other way i can imagine that is if your inverted and hitting it as your going up. to fix that you have to do everything fast and/or move the standards back or go to a bigger pole

I'm 5'10" and weigh 134lbs. I'm holding the top of a 14' 140lb. pole.
