a lil help

what could help fix a jump when the pole doesnt roll out to the side like it just goes straight?

Usually that comes from blocking with your bottom arm. But like Mecham said, it would be nice to see a video. Your bottom arm sort of controls the motion of the pole. If you move your bottom arm to the side that you need, then the pole will follow. But it should be sort of a natural motion.

Sounds like you're jamming your bottom arm straight out in front of you as you swing.

thanks ill try pushing it out to the side a little but no i dont have any video of it right now

I think what you need to "think" about is "not pushing" the bottom arm anywhere. There's a thread right here in this technique catagory called bottom arm collapsing. Read that and see if that helps. The good questions that you always come up with, I think for the most part are covered in Beginner to Bubka. Consider getting the book if you haven't got it already. Regardless, even though some of your questions may have been covered in other threads, keep asking them. By you not having the answer, that means that we on the forum haven't answered them good enough the first time around. Good luck..............Mike
