I'd have to see your jumping in person to give you an accurate piece of advice but I'll give it a shot:
A. Make sure you don't pull you arms in until you are inverted, meaning your hands to your ankles/quads
B. Stay tight, when you fall away from the pole you will be shot outwards instead if up! To do this, make sure when you turn, drop your right shoulder towards the pole as you "pull and turn"
C. Try to ignore the cross bar, and make sure you keep your body as straight as possible! Flayling legs will make you lose balance.
And thats about it, but you could have some errors or habits that may permit you from getting into position for the shoot, turn and fly away....

I think a lot of people dont understand it, because either they think they have a great run and take off, or their coach does, so they completley disregard it. At Alan Launder's camp, we had pretty much 3 sessions on the approach. Remember, the vault begins with the first step!lonestar wrote:achtungpv wrote:Run better. Take off better. That's it.
I wish people would understand that.
Just you wait...
