why do you want to switch poles?
how high have you jumped on the 14' pole?
what do you weigh?

that is a huge jump (similar to a 14' 205 lb pole)

closer to a 14' 195....

You should start at the same grip on the big pole, and that alone is a 20lb jump in stiffness, which will make it tough. To move up on the big pole you'll need enough speed to get on it. If your speed is good enough now then it'll be a smooth transition as far as length goes. I wouldn't recommend going up any more then a hand grip at a time making sure you're getting deep enough into the pit each time.

The best bet would be to try to get a 14-6 175 or a stiffer 14-0 so you can transition onto the 15-0 easier. Otherwise, depending on how far you are running from you could move your run back 2 steps.

Well do you have a good reason to move up poles? If you dont have very good form then there really isnt a point to go to a 15' pole. Its easier to get upside down on a 14 than a 15

should i switch
