An optimist is one who sees a light in darkness....a pessimist blows it out.
#8 and 10 are those three velocities...(basicly) i just find it easier and more practical to compare the times from a film clip rather than converting the data to velocity.
in other words.. comparing a bubka 19'8" jump with a total time of 1.47 ... to a tim mack jump of 19'8" with a total time of 1.43... instead of converting to velocity.........
am i saying mack is creating more force than bubka... not neccessarily.. but ...he may not be creating any less force for the pole size and grip...
why did it take bubka longer to complete the same jump??? the answer could be that bubka's pole was stronger... slowing him (a little) from getting the pole to vertical...
and knowing that t-macks 19'8" jump only took .49 seconds from takeoff to maximum bend... tells me more about the pole size and speed after the take-off.... same distance in a slower time would be less force.
kinda like saying maurice greene took a "faster" and longer stride.. resulting in more force per stride...longer stride in a slower time.. less force..
any clearer??
