helicopter legs

Unread postby blazerunner121 » Tue Apr 19, 2005 8:01 pm

i've recently had problems with trying to keep my legs together once i invert and then turn. before the beginning of the turn, i always have this problem of splitting the legs so that my vault either turns into a huffman roll or it turns into "helicopter legs" or the "twirler" as people called it when they saw me jump.

are there any small drills to work on this component? and is there any suggestions that i can do to mentally keep my legs together?

welll, i have a horrible rotation. i usually forget about it because of all the other stuff i'm thinking about at first. staying on the balls for one, and swingning, etc....i just basiclaly throw myself over the bar on higher heights. i mean, i can sort of get the right rotation and twist on the lower heights, but i need to work at it. i try to reach for the sky with my legs. just kick out like a bull or something...
