ok so i fixed my stutter stepping and im going thru the middle instead of out to the right. i have gotten my arm to go pretty straight but im still kinda working on that. the thing i need help on now is that i am letting go of the pole to soon my coach says. so yesterday i was way way over the 9' bar we had up, but he says i let go of the pole then turn so i have nothing to push of of to get into the pit so im just falling straight down causing me to hit the bar. and the thing is i dunno how to fix this cuz i really dunno when i actually let go of the pole. has anyone had or have this problem and do u have any tips ?

i've been having this same problem on my new pole. my coach tells me to ride it longer, which means staying inverted longer and not rushing through the vault. you also might be turning too soon (i do that too!) which means you lose a lot in the top end of your vault so maybe try some vaults without turnouts and just holding the inverted position. hope that helps!! i'll let you know if i figure anything else out...

ya uve said exactly what my coach has said. see when im in short runs its easy for me to get my hips up and get kinda inverted but i dunno its really hard for me on long runs. and ya he says im trying to hurry my vault like im going around the pole to get over the bar insteada thru it. but this is makin me really mad cuz we had 10' up today and im over at the beggining of the jump but then i just fall on top of it.

when your going up and you just started to twist when your whole body is over the bar and your turned around push it as hard as you can and you'll fall on the mat and the pole will go back
