Height: 5'5
Weight: 120?
Pole: 130 and 140 11' 6 Pacer
Grip: 10' 6
PR: 9ft
Age: 16
2nd year jumping

Last week at practice i finally got down my run up/plant/and part of my swing. Up until i get inverted or almost inverted i am pretty good, but i do not finish once i have to pull to bring my body above my arms. My PR went from 8 to 9 yesterday because of fixing most of my jump last week, and i am hoping that maybe i can get another foot by Monday to qualify for county's if i can get a better understanding of what to do once i am half way through the swing.

Thanks, Nick

If there is a quick fix, it is "swing with the whole body", not "just the leg".

Long term, high-bar is your best bet combined with the "long swing" drill on the pad. Someone else can help you set up a schedule for that.

ok, so i didnt get 10', and im not sure exactly what counties is. But i jumped 9'6. So for winter comming to an end, i think a foot and a half improvement in the last 2 weeks is enough.

Thanks for the advice
Nick

1'6" is great improvement for 2 weeks! Keep up the momentum!

If you'd like a good cue... "Get your feet behind your head and your hips behind the pole."
