So, we're getting into the season, and I'm doing pretty good, I got 10' 6 yesterday, but I have a pole that's kind of a security blanket, it's an old and nasty (I call it old nasty) pole, a 12 ft, 150 lbs, and I held at the top of it before, but I got a new pole, a 14 ft, 140 lbs (it's pretty soft), and I can just run up a few steps holding at the top, and I'll have an awesome plant form, and I can go up three feet, and I just get kicked back and land on my feet, it's all good.
But today, coach told me to hold a the top of the new pole and because he thinks I can do it, but I just stop myself right before and bail out before I plant, and this always happens. Any suggestions on how to relax or not get so anxious before I vault?
