If you are 6' tall and have jumped 14' on a 14' pole, then I would advise going to a 15' sail and gripping down on the pole. Don't raise your grip more than 3" at a time and don't raise it any further until you have jumped ~6" higher than you did with the lower grip.

The longer pole will have a higher sail and help you to better time up your jump.

to start with i would use a 15 145 because when you go up a foot in length the weight balance is 10 pounds less so a 15 145 is really the same as a 14 155..you said you are on a 14 155 and 60...if you have 15 145 it would be best because the first like 3 jumps i did on my 15 footers i landed in or close to the box so you dont wanna try to go too big but if your on a limited budget a 15 150 would work

i don't have a limited poles, but buget yes, my real coach rents out poles so i more or less can use any pole i need, but for the record every 3 inches is five pounds, so i foot would be 20 pounds. just incase you forgot.

Yeah it's more like 10 pounds per 6".

This chart is very useful for determining the next pole:

new question, which do you guys prefer, a big stick thats closer to your weight, or an average (13'6 to 15) stick maybe 30 pounds or more over your body weight?

depends what your trying to do if you want quick results go to a longer pole but if you want better techneque for the long run hit all the positions and get used to getting the lift of the pole on a smaller stick

I think I am just learning this now. But you don't want to forcefully keep ypur grip down. I think I did that last year and now I am gripping more then a foot higher. Its much easier to hit positions now.
