turning drills
ok, im pretty solid on my vaulting but for a few flaws here and there. the problem is once i get over the bear, i can't seem to turn. so, i was wondering if any of you knew any drills i could do to get turning into my muscle memory. thanks for anything.

I live next door to a tumbler who had a trampoline. (By the way he got 2nd in the world in his age group, he is amazing!). We always practiced doing frontflips with halfturns. If you have access to a trampoline this drill really helped me and once i started pole vaulting it came very naturally to me. Make sure to turn like your going into the pole so you dont develop any bad habits
Hope this helped

you should probably be turned before you get to the bar not over it so you wont hit it with your hip

Pool Vaulting... Check out this video that Adam Sarafain posted. You want to work on turning before clearing the bar. The water allows you to slow down and focus on proper form throughout the top end.
