Poles your weight

Unread postby Ins0mnizac » Sun Apr 25, 2004 4:35 pm

How hard is it to get above your handgrip using a pole just above or right arround your own weight. Does it not give back the spring you need. I have two poles one arround my weight and one about 15-20 pounds over and i can get goob bend out of the one close to my weight but i cant hold the other one high enough to get bend and penetrate.

If you vault properly on a pole, you should be able to vault above your hand grip easily.

As for the pole weight problem, some times a different run must be used to vault on different sized poles.

for example I can vault on a 14' 170 pole from 3 left and from 8 a 16'5" 16.0~190lbs
...success is doing what you can do well and doing well whatever you can do
