Lowering the pole and the plant proper
Ok so when you got to lower the pole i'm confused with what to do with my hands. For example which hand do I lower the pole with and what does the bottom hand do. Also helpful would be some drills to improve the plant propr and the lowering of the pole.

Re: Lowering the pole and the plant proper
First of all you have to be carrying the pole correctly (left wrist cocked up with webbing between thumb and index under the pole), this allows the left arm to act as a fulcrum. With the left arm acting as a fulcrum you can control the drop of the pole with your right hand (if you are a right handed vaulter). Practice standing there lowering and raising the pole using your right hand. Go to google and watch the David Butler video for a batter explanation.
