BIGFORK — Never change horses in midstream.

Pole vault poles in mid-competition... now that might be a different story.

That’s exactly what Thompson Falls vaulter Brian Schenavar did during Saturday’s Bigfork Invitational track meet.

Schenavar, who didn’t enter the competition until it reached 12 feet, used his old pole on his first couple vaults.

“I could tell I was blowing it out. I went to my new pole and it felt really good today,â€
