By Rocky Mountain News
August 24, 2007
If you've been looking for a reason to visit Pueblo (and we know you have), we've got one - a little thing called the Colorado State Fair.
That's right, oh fair-deprived citizen: Today through Labor Day, it's time to make the trek southward and revel in the culture of Colorado: 4-H events, racing pigs, rodeos, microbrews, a carnival and roving bands of Wild West entertainers.
Not to mention live sets by big names in pop music, such as Daughtry, Clay Walker, The All-American Rejects and Los Lonely Boys.
Admission
• Fairgrounds tickets are $8 per adult Friday through Sunday, $5 Monday through Thursday. Kids 6 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. Box office hours are 10 a.m.-showtime daily. Ticketed events, including rodeos and concerts, are in addition to fairgrounds admission and vary in cost. Tickets may be purchased at ticketmaster.com or by calling 303-830-8497
Hours
• Grounds are open daily from 10 a.m.-midnight.
