Obituary - Clint M. Puller


Clint M. Puller, 25, of 2514 U.S. 70 East, Marion, N.C., and 1600 Maplevale Road, Brookville, died of injuries Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, when struck by an automobile while crossing a road in Clemson, S.C.
Born May 12, 1981, in Brookville Hospital, Brookville, he was the son of Ray and Gail Puller, who survive in Brookville.

Mr. Puller was a 2000 graduate of Brookville Area High School where he was member of the Class AA dual meet state championship team in wrestling in 1999 and the District 9 champion in the pole vault in 2000. He also participated and completed the two-day Tango Adventure Race.

He graduated summa cum laude in 2004 from West Virginia University where he received a bachelor of science degree in wood science technology. During his college career he was a member of the International Golden Key Honor Society and received the Weyerhaeuser Scholarship and the Orris D. McCauley Memorial Scholarship.

While at West Virginia University, Mr. Puller was voted the Most Outstanding Senior in the Davis College of Agriculture/Forestry/Consumer Sciences for outstanding scholarship and leadership.

Mr. Puller was employed by Jeld-Wen Wood Fiber Division in Marion, N.C.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Brent N. Puller of Brookville; and his grandparents, Gloria and Francis Puller of Rew and Jan Savenko of Ingomar.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kurt D. Puller of Brookville.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in the First Church of God in Brookville.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. Henry Scoff, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Windy Hill, Rose Township, Jefferson County.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Church of God, Freedom Lane, Brookville, 15825, or to the Brookville YMCA, 125 Main St., Brookville, 15825.

The McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, is in charge of arrangements.
