Hey guys, I'm new to this forum but a really enthusiastic vaulter and was just wondering what type of opportunities I'll have to vault once the school, spring track season is over (between the end of June to end of August). Does anyone know where i could find out this information?? or if anyone else competes (anything within a hundred miles or so is okay)

Now, I'll be 17-years-old this summer and hopefully vaulting around 14 feet. When I look for competitions in the area, they're all professional tournaments with guys that'll be vaulting around 18'6" with an opening height of 16'6". What do I have to do to find a few meets that are for my own age group?? (something similar to a highschool meet). I looked at a few links but i think the schedules were incomplete.

Can someone help me out?? Any ideas are welcome; I thank you all for your help and support. -Joe

PS: sorry for posting this twice in case it bothers anyone

You could find some street vaults to look into, or if you arent afraid of travelling maybe enter the AAU tournament for fun.

I don't know about in the summer, but on weekends and holidays I guess the PG center has high school and under competitions. http://www.pgsportsandlearn.com It's on there somewhere, on a tab I think.

i'll look into that; but don't most of those street vaults start around 15 feet?? like, i didn't think they did those for younger vaulters cause of the liability of getting an incosisten vaulter and having him fall on the pavement haha. but i'll check just the same {nods}
