Re: Jersey Jumps Beach Vault-Seaside Heights, NJ
Becca,
Just an update on our recent event, the Jersey Jumps Beach Vault,
held August 8 in Seaside Heights, NJ. We had 124 total Vaulters, in
age ranges from High School, College/Open, Elite & Masters.
The results were awesome, as well. Our H.S. Girls comp. was won
by Junior Emily Urciouli at 12'6". Linda Hadfield also jumped 12'6", but
Emily won on misses. The H.S. Boys was won by Soph Jordan Subai
at 14'9" (PR) and he nearly made 15'1". James Weiss lost to Jordan on
misses, also clearing 14'9".
The Elite Women was won by Ariane Beaumont-Courteau. Ariane vaulted
13'11 1/4" and NARROWLY missed breaking the Canadian Outdoor Record.
Lastly, Rory Quiller won the Elite Men with a vault of 17'2 3/4" and NEARLY
made 18'0".

Ariane Beaumont-Courteau
Well we wished she would have cleared 13'11...Actualy she jumped with the guys, cleared 3.95m ( 12-11 1/2) but tried 4.25m (13'11 1/4) after. This would have been an outdoor canadian JUNIOR record ( curently 4.20m, held by Gabriella Duclos-Lasnier). She will have a few more meets to try it; Canada games next week, one or two local meets in Montréal in september and the francophone games in Berouth, Lebanon in late september. Yes our season is long....
