I went to that site that has Bubba's pictures and stuff on it, and he mentions some Australian who has the "Left Handed" world record. What height would that be? Just wondering since I am a college Freshy who happens to be left handed...thanx! Congrats to Mack, 6.01! Can't wait to see the video.

Simon Arkell of Australia, now retired. 5.80m or 19'1/4"

Of course, Stacy Dragila has the left handed WR for women - 4.83m or 15'10"

yea it says it flipped the pictures in order for them to be all facing the same direction, which means Bubka's sequence was taped from the opposite side as the other vaulters.

Simon Arkell here (Ark).

I'd be interested in seeing a list of top 10 lefties, but I know Dave Roberts held the REAL world record at 5.70 (18'8 1/4") up until 1978 or so (from memory he had it for quite awhile). Also, big Brent Burns won quite a few important US meets (esp indoors) and ended up with 5.70.

Dont you think we all kind of look the same when we jump? Its weird. I dont know what it is but I've never met a lefty with a pre-jump (I came close at only 2 feet under with a 16'8" grip) :D

"the left handed world record"
that makes it sound as if being left handed is a handicap!!! HA
