Does anybody else find it odd that both men and women at indoor worlds this year must jump trials and finals in cosecutive days?
Friday March 5:
16:30 Women Pole Vault QUALIFICATION
18:45 Women Pole Vault QUALIFICATION
Saturday March 6:
16:35 Women Pole Vault FINAL
10:10 Men Pole Vault QUALIFICATION
12:35 Men Pole Vault QUALIFICATION
Sunday March 7:
15:25 Men Pole Vault FINAL
I just find it very strange that at a world championship event, an event where the event managers would like to see the best marks possible, that they would make competitors jump two days in a row. Sure the meets only 3 days, but it's going to take at least 5.65 or 5.70 to make it to finals on the mens side. Thats a full fleged competition for all but the very best. And then to have to come out and jump even better the next day??? I'm just disappointed b/c I think that it will really affect the marks in finals. Might have to do a little editing on those predictions.........
