Pauli misses.
5-alive, so back to Niedermeyer. He's close but knocks it off with his chest on the way down.
Interesting that they went back to using the normal crossbar ends. They used the black ends for the juniors, but it seemed like the wind blew it off easier.
Litchfield up for his second, he has a slightly awkward takeoff and misses.

Oh yeah FloTrack and Runnerspace have live feeds, might see some jumps. I talked to a TV guy and they do not plan to show many vaults.
Toby Stevenson makes on his second and pumps his fists in the air.
Greeley makes on his second as well, brushes the bar on the way down but it stays.
Paul has a big second attempt but brushes it on the way down and it falls.
I take back what I said about the crossbar, it is the black ends. They were using the pink ends for warmups.

Niedermeyer has a big clearance on his third attempt and looks VERY relieved.

They remeasure the bar for some reason.
Daniel Ryland gets pulled into the 5-alive and is up for his first.

Ryland has a good looking blow through! Lots of height but too much pole speed.

Hoste now up for his first attempt. He comes off his pole early and is not close.

Pauli now up for his third attempt at 5.40.
Lots of height on the bar but crashes down on it. A NH and he will not return to the World Championships.

Quiller enters the order and makes easily.
I guess Colwick and Ryan pass because Scott Roth is now up for his first attempt at 5.40. He made it easily in warmups, but this time he has too much pole speed and hits it off on the way up. Wind has picked up a bit but still variable.
