There is a site which has all of the world lists. It's run out of Europe somewhere. You have to subscribe to it. I can't think of the name of it...

www.tilastopaja.net

It's worth the money. Worlds list up to 500+ deep. Men's vault goes down to 5.00m, women's down to 3.40 or so.

McKane Lee jumped 16-7.25 this summer... actually now that I think of it, that would not count on the world junior lists because he'll turn 20 before December, but he was definitely 19 when he did it, and just finished with his senior year of high school.

I believe his jump counts, as long as they know about it and can verify it.

It was an all-comers meet. It was official, the meets are run by Bill Roe who is the president of USATF, so he makes sure all the marks will count, but I was not very good about getting the mark out to anyone like T&F News, Dyestat, or even Gus, so I doubt the mark will appear on any lists.

unfortunately I never cleared 17' in an official meet last summer, just to clarify that point. Tear, lol

It'll come sometime soon. You are doing some great stuff on the runway.

Thanks, I'm working hard, and with time, I have confidence some good bars will be around the corner. I'm really excited, though of course nervous, about my first season in college. I know it'll be different. I've seen a lot of good vaulters out of hs not jump well their freshman year, and i'm working to avoid that trend. It's always about staying healthy for anyone, so looking forward to this season.

My best advice for this year is to train hard and smart, and just let it happen. Vaulting is just a game, and a lot of fun. Many vaulters let it get between their ears when the bar gets to PR heights, which is counter productive. You have been blessed with ability and the opportunity to vault at the next level. Just let it be about you and the pole. Hitting your takeoff and timing it up. If you start thinking about the crossbar and forget about what you have got to do to get there the bars will not come as easily.

If you look around at the top vaulters, when the bar goes up, they want the runway. Make it about you and the pole, and the bars will come. The bar is just the way we measure the height. That's why we call it pole vaulting and not bar jumping. :D

I completely agree with you, but thanks for the advice.
