5A South Conference Championships
May 1, 2006
Lake Hamilton Sophomore, Stephanie Foreman, shattered the conference meet record by 3 feet with a clearance of 13'00" today at the 5A South Conference Championships.
Foreman opened up at 10'00" and made that and 10'06" on her first attempts to secure the win. Raised the bar to 12'00" and made it on her 2nd attempt. Made 12'04" on her first and then set the All-time best for an Arkansas high school girl when she made 12'08" on her 2nd attempt. She then went on to clear 13'00" on her 3rd attempt. She was close at 13'04.25" on her 3rd attempt but ran out of gas.
She weighs 108 lbs. and made her 2 big jumps on a 13'3" Altius 140 gripping 12'08".

Thanks! It's been quite a week already. Some more of our vaulters set some PR's today.
At the Mena Bearcat Relays, Staci Yahn, So. Mena set a meet record with 12'01". Heath Morphew, Sr. DeQueen set a meet record for the boys with 15'06.5" and Derek Womack, Sr. Nashville PR'd with 15'01".
Our state meets are in 2 weeks, so these kids are putting it together just in time.

awesome, the NY state meet is still.... hmm 5 weeks away, haha. Im hoping to hit the 15'1 mark in time to go to SC this year, but ill just see what i can do!
