Our Jr. High boys and girls won our conference meet today in Conway, Arkansas. This marks the first time either team has won in our tough, 16 team Central Arkansas Conference.
The girls won by over 50 points and the boys by over 40. We did rack up some points in the pole vault on both sides. We are allowed to enter 3 kids in each event.
Girls (19 points)
2nd place - Aubrey Burrough, Freshman 10'00"
3rd place tie - Hannah Reis, 8th grade 9'00" PR
Kirby Newcomb, 8th grade 9'00" PR
Boys (19.5 points)
1st place - Samuel Ewing, Freshman 14'00" MR
2nd place - David Rogers, Freshman 13'00"
7th place tie - James Bennett, 8th grade 10'06" PR
I've coached vaulters at 7 meets in the past 9 days and have loved every minute of it! It's time for a little rest before getting ready for our Sr. High Conference meet this Thursday.
