In a meet that hosts the 7 state champions in each event plus the best at large, Bryant's Jason Pelletier won a tight battle with Alma's Brent Sams. Both made 15'00" on their 3rd attempts to keep the competition alive then Jason cleared 15'04" and 15'08" on his first attempts, setting a new PR. Sams also made 15'08" for a new PR, but had more misses.

In the girls division, Russellville's Mallory Lawrence ended her high school career with a victory over Lake Hamilton's Stephanie Foreman. Both set a new meet record with 12'08", Lawrence having fewer misses. A crosswind proved too much for them as neither had a good attempt at 13'00.25".
