Lady Cyclones’ Cothren finishes second in
national track meet

What started out as not a big deal for one Russellville High School track athlete has suddenly allowed her to be in the national spotlight in the track and field world.
Whitney Cothren began experimenting with pole vaulting some during junior high school, but didn’t think much of it. Now, she is a nationally-ranked high-school pole vaulter as she continues to leap past her goals.
Earlier this month, Cothren had a strong performance on the national level as she placed second in the Golden West Invitational meet â€â€
