Wise move: CHS vaulter wins

Alanna Wise cleared a career-best 12 feet, 3 inches to win the girls pole vault at the District 4-4A track and field meet Thursday at Wolfforth Frenship.
"It was a great, great attempt," Cooper girls coach Pat Fulgim said. "She made 12 feet pretty easily, then did really well at 12-3."
Wise, whose previous best was 11-7, was one of four Cooper girls to qualify for the Region I meet as the Cooper girls wrapped up the first day in first place -- four points ahead of Big Spring.
