Housing in LA?

Hey Californians,

I'm from Philadelphia, PA and am coming out to LA for 6 weeks this summer. I'm a medical student (and serious ex-pole vaulter) who is looking for housing in the Beverly Hills, Century City, Cedars-Sinai medical center area. Anyone know anyone who is willing to rent a room in that area? I will likely spend 80+ hours in the hospital for 4 of those 6 weeks.

Hey Wilson!

It has been a looong time. I am coming out to spend a month in pediatric surgery. I applied for this fellowship and was accepted! so... I will also have some 'play' money to travel around and enjoy the beach.

I will likely end up in OB or surg so... no pathologist here. I think the pole vault world has enough fantastic pathologists! Things are going well. I started coaching a bit too... a high schooler from a small school outside Philly... he won the district meet and jumped at states. I won't lie, I'm a little proud of him.

Hope all is well. I am super excited to come out west!

So if you're coming out for pediatric surgery, am I correct in guessing that you will be at LA Childrens? Lila lives around there.

LA Childrens also isn't all that close to the areas you were asking about.

It will be through Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Beverly Blvd in Beverly Hills. They have a "world-class" pediatric surgery dept. as I understand. Everything from peds CT surg, peds transplant, peds ortho, neuro, spine, etc. We'll see.

I sent Lila an email and haven't heard back yet. I also have a cousin and college friend who live in LA but not close to Beverly Hills area. I'm working on it. any good ideas let me know.

I MIGHT make it to Clovis in August just to hang out. Will you be there?
