lol, you guys all think you are so young, i didnt turn 16 till two weeks before my junior year....i'm now 17, going on to college, and again will turn 18 about two weeks before i start college....age i think is more important, but regardless, he jumped 16', which is a hell of a jump for any age in highschool, and i guess thats what counts....i'm just curious, if he's a freshman now, senior year he will be, 19.....will he be able to compete? i dont know the exact rules on age stuff, but i dont believe 19 yr olds are allowed to compete, and if not, he's going to have to do some big things in the next 2 years if he hopes to break the NR.
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

Talent in cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.

u can compete at 19 but once u turn 20 u cant. my dad didnt turn 18 till november of his first year of college. the state champ his senior year in high school was 19 and he went 16'1. whats funny is when my dad was 19 he went 16'6 but im gettin off the subject a little.
