Allison Stokke (13-5.75 vaulter) breaks tibia

Word on the street from Rich Gonzalez:

Happened in Monday practice when she had trouble penetrating, and then released pole. Fell in box. Will be out 6-8 weeks.

Al! Omg I feel so bad for you babe...when you called me i was sooo sick for you...but me and tori and dana and kelly and lyndly and kate will kick butt for you....socal baby! Man...I seriously hope that you will still be able to compete like in September cause maybe there is some camps you can go to, to rebuild your strength.....Love yah babe!

Oh man, that sucks! So sorry to hear that. Heal up fast Aly, I'm looking forward to seeing that gymnast on a stick again!

i just talked to her and she's going to have surgery tomorrow (wednesday) to put pins in her ankle and she wont be completely healed for 4-6 months but she'll be able to do strength and conditioning during those 4-6 months...we all hope she gets better as soon as she can!!!
