Once I read this horrible news, it made me realize that as vault coaches and athletes, we all need to learn from "what went wrong."

I am wondering if anyone is familiar with DeSalle's pole vault set up. What kind of pit was used, what size, whether it was a raised runway, how big were the front buns, and things like that. Does anyone know the specifics of how they had their landing system setup?
