I dunno if he still does, but Dolf Berle, masters vaulter, used to jump with a rubber ducky glued to the top of his helmet.

LOL yes, he still does. He won the M40 decathlon at nationals this summer.

Dolf is also the Chief Operating Officer of the House of Blues. He got back into vaulting by accidentally meeting me. I was in the gym wearing a pole vault shirt and he asked me if I “used to pole vaultâ€Â

I've jumped with him a couple of times in the Boston meets. He's a very good vaulter, and, yes the rubber ducky was there. Quite a character.
