Are cut poles legal in Masters meets????or do officials bother to check?

What would we be checking for other than dounut size taping problems?
You "masters" guys don't have any pole rating verification. That's only done at the high school level.
I'd never allow a cut down pole at the high school level. If I were to suspect a pole was altered, out it goes if the etched length did not match the measured length.
