Warren Wilke Returns to Vault Action

Hey Guys and Gals. I got the chance to see my buddy, Warren Wilke, for the first time in years at the meet in Forney, Texas this past Saturday. BTW – great job by event staff and support, as well as all star coverage from our resident superhero, Becca.
I know if you know Warren you also like him because I’ve never met anyone who didn’t, but I also know you haven’t seen him lately either. Turns out that he destroyed his elbow a couple of years ago in a barefoot skiing accident. I believe he said he had five fractures and numerous internal fixings and was told he would lose the use of the arm. After a super long rehab and the acceptance that he was done, he found he was gaining strength and movement and became optimistic he could be active again. He had some type of a heel protector built so he could ski again (oh yeah – he burned a hole in his heel trying to toughen up his bare-foot skiing) and decided he would try to vault. He shows up at Forney, starts at 11’, makes it easy and then gets 11’ 6â€Â
