Thank You to those I met at Nationals
I just wanted to thank all the great people who I met at Nationals this weekend. It was such an incredible experience to compete again and really an eye opener as to how lacking my dedication and discipline are.
It was the most fun I have ever had at any event. The people and the stories and the camaraderie were amazing. Just the thrill of being on the runway again, and actually clearing a bar. (As most of you know I was desperately afraid of no heighting) Thank you all for all the help and advice you gave me while I was jumping. I wish I could have done the things you were telling me but my entire body was numb! I couldn’t feel anything!
What was most impressive to me was how incredibly skillful and dedicated all of you were. This was not some casual jumping session. You all take your vaulting very seriously and have honed your technique down to very exacting elements. Watching all of you jump so well has really motivated me work that much harder so that someday, maybe, I might be almost as good as you are. I can only hope that at some point I can achieve your level of competence.
As I explained to my wife on the way home, I found a group of people who are just like me, obsessed. I thank you for helping me feel comfortable and welcoming me into your group. You guys are awesome!
Kris.

Ahhh Maine
Who all is going to Maine?
Have you guys already made up your minds or will you wait till the last minute? Honestly, it was so much fun I can't imagine not going.
Is Maine as much fun?

Ahhh you young guys...so sure of yourself.... when you get past 60 we don't know if they will let us away from the Home!!!:)
I plan on being there also but will drive... from Ohio to Maine will be a vacation drive, I also hear of a meet in Canada, three hours from Orona for Masters the week before!!! Good time of the year for a road trip in my brand new 1978 VW bus I'm rebuilding!!!
