Has anyone ever heard of the State Games of America? I know about the national senior games, usatf master nationals, world masters etc. I have never heard of the first.

Yes. The quality of the meets varies widely from state to state.

Re: State Games of America
The State Games of America are held in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. If you medal in your own State Games you qualify for that national meet. I think registration ends soon.
