Really good. He has very solid technique. It will all depend on how well he transitions out of college and figures out the one or two things he needs to get to the next level, and that wouldn't be technique. He will have to get faster to become a 6m guy. Lon

The reason I ask is because in a clip I just saw he cleared 18-5 with 20 ft of hip height(oakpvs clips). And I also saw him from six lefts clear 18-8! Well I guess he nicked it off(neo vault)

Watch the video again.........(yes its a good jump but...) Unless he is using a 5.50 (18') pole that CANT be his jump at 18'5". It looks like about 17'5". Just a guess but someone may have mis marked that one. Its too bad the perf. indicator borad was not turned toward the vault fans..........then the only ques would be did they change the board.

Yeah, that bar doesn't quite look like 5.60 to me. Nice jump though. Walker is on his way to being a consistent 5.80 guy. He is going to have to learn some different runway mechanics to jump 6m. Give him some time. Bubka and Britts are the only guys to jump 6m before they were 25.

I was there at the Texas Relays when I jumped that, That was definately 18'5". It all ways seems that the poles are a little longer with the camera we have, but I assure you that I know what heights I post.

I was at that meet, and the whole time they didn't show what the hight was. And walker was only running from six lefts. we timed him that day and he was running the six lefts in 2.80 seconds.

I was there as well. I just don't remember his 5.60 jump being that huge. It was a nice jump from a really short approach. I think he said he had the flu that week.

I dont know if we are talking about the same meet. but the heights were posted at Texas Relays, I just looked at the full length clip i have from the meet, it definatley says 18'5", and 80cm standards. Also, I don't remember his approach being short either. He was running from at least 120'
